Vin Scully, Chick Hearn, Doc Emrick, Al Michaels, Bob Costas... it is just crazy the calibre and quality of broadcaster I've seen in my lifetime. As the sports world turns to putting untested athletes like TB12 in the booth, I wonder if we'll ever see their like again. It's possible this new wave of new media will have standouts but it's certainly not a lock.
Vin was like a 3rd grandfather to Los Angeles and fans all over the world. I'll always remember the day I met him as a 14 year old. His smile. My dad was such a miserable prick, that he hated Vin Scully. Literally the only person I've ever heard of that disliked him as a broadcaster
